Scott Walker

I've got a Scott Walker Biography that I've not read yet, if I had I'd probably know what to write here. Scott Walker used to be in the Walker Brothers (Sun ain't gonna shine anymore, make it easy on yourself etc) but in fact his name is actually Scott Engel and they weren't brotheres. After they splitup, Scott went on to release a series of critically acclaimed albums all called Scott (1, 2, 3 or 4) which are pretty damned good. I've only got Scott 1 and Scott 4 which are quite different.

This music is quite challenging but its worth making the effort as once you get to like it you'll think its better than wearing a delux fake tache made of Yak hair. Like G5, Scott was very popular with the ladies. Scott did not possess a love leek.

For some reason I couldn't find Scott II listed on Amazon, maybe it doesn't exist. But the following are all great and I recomend that you go and buy them all.

debug1
Scott

This album sounds very strange at first when you here a guy doing a Frank Sinatra type impression complete with a full orchestra. Don't let this fool you though, the lyrics are tremendous, very very dark. This album is challenging but great, probably avoid it it you just like listening to tunes. Buy Scott at Amazon.co.uk

Scott 4

I think its more accessible that Scott 1 but I don't like it as much. Most of the Orchestra has disappeared, probably dismissed for not wearing their 'taches. Think G5 prefers this one, though you need to bare in mid he's Welsh. Buy Scott IV at Amazon.co.uk

Scott III

Seem to have got the order mixed up. I don't actually own this altough I do have many of the songs from it an I think it'll be worth buying, its defenetly on my to do list. Buy Scott III at Amazon.co.uk

Boy Child

This is a compliation containing most of his great solo stuff, very comprehensive. Its pretty damned good and I reckon that if you're not sure then this would be a great place to start. Buy Boy Child at Amazon.co.uk
